Rising temperatures associated with global warming have made the need for cooling critical, especially in large enclosed spaces (greenhouses, factories, animal shelters). The high energy costs and environmental impacts of traditional air conditioning systems are directing businesses toward more sustainable alternatives. This is where the Greenpad (Evaporative Cooling) System, which utilizes nature's own cooling method, comes into play.

How Does the Greenpad System Work? (Working Principle)

In its simplest definition, the Greenpad system is based on the principle of water absorbing heat from the environment as it evaporates. This is the same law of physics that causes you to feel cold when the wind blows after you get out of the sea.

Entry of Hot Air: Hot and dry air from the outside environment is drawn into the system with the help of a powerful fan.
Water Distribution and Wet Pad: The heart of the system, the specially designed cellulosic pads (Cellulopad), are continuously wetted with water. These pads have a honeycomb texture to maximize the water's surface area.
Evaporation and Heat Transfer: Hot air comes into contact with water as it passes through these wet pads. The heat energy in the air is used to evaporate the water.

Indoor & Cooling Effect

Fresh air (Cool, Humid Air), which has cooled and humidified by passing through the wet pads, is pressed into the interior space via the fan.

Thanks to this continuous air circulation:

Hot air inside is expelled.
It is replaced by fresh and cool air.
As seen in the thermometer icon, a distinct and effective drop in ambient temperature is achieved.

What are the Advantages of Greenpad Evaporative Cooling?

Greenpad systems not only cool but also offer significant advantages to businesses.

The main benefits are:

Low Energy Consumption: It consumes up to 80% less electricity compared to compressor air conditioning systems. Only the fan and water pump consume energy.
Eco-Friendly (Natural Cooling): It does not use harmful refrigerant gases (CFCs, etc.). It works entirely through the natural interaction of water and air and does not harm nature.
Effective Temperature Drop and Fresh Air: It performs particularly high in hot and dry climates. While cooling the environment, it also increases air quality by providing a constant inflow of fresh air.

In summary, Greenpad (Evaporative Cooling) systems are one of the most logical cooling solutions, both economically and ecologically, for greenhouses, industrial facilities, and warehouses.
